Job summary

Ampersand Therapy in Gastonia, NC is hiring a Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year to provide school-based speech and language services, develop goals, and support students’ communication skills.

CFs are welcome; NC licensure is required or eligibility via DPI. The role includes mentorship, competitive pay up to $53/hour, W-2 employment, benefits, licensure/CEU reimbursement, mileage, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must hold NC licensure for Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Eligibility for NC licensure via the Department of Public Instruction.
• Experience with AAC is preferred.
• Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders required.
• Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services in a school setting.
• Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams.
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication.
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills.
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
