Job summary

Career Links is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist for a school-based assignment beginning January 2027 in Puyallup, WA. You will provide therapy services to students with communication challenges as part of a collaborative special education team.

You will conduct evaluations, develop IEPs, and use evidence-based strategies (including AAC) to support academic and social success. CF supervision and mentorship are available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• State Teaching Credential or ability to obtain.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent communication, organization and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in IDEA compliance.
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.
• Provide direct therapy and consultative services for speech/language impairments.
• Maintain documentation, progress reports and service logs for compliance.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and related service providers.
• Attend IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings and engage in professional development.
• Utilize evidence-based strategies including AAC.
• Support inclusive practices and adapt interventions for diverse students.
• Provide training to classroom staff to generalize communication strategies.
