Job summary

Ampersand Therapy LLC is seeking a School Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time, leave-coverage role in Tacoma, WA, for the 2026-2027 school year. This in-person, school-based position begins September 1, 2026, and focuses on evaluations, therapy, and IEP development.

The SLP will collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators, create measurable goals, document progress, and ensure services align with state and district requirements while supporting preschool students’

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• WA State SLP license or eligibility to obtain one.
• WA Educational Staff Associate certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred.
• Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply.
• Must have fingerprints on file with OSPI or willing to complete.
• Must provide at least two supervisory references.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and diagnostic assessments.
• Provide individualized and small-group speech and language therapy.
• Develop and implement IEPs with measurable goals.
• Create developmentally appropriate services for preschool students.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related staff to support communication needs.
• Track progress and maintain accurate service documentation.
• Prepare evaluation and progress reports and participate in meetings.
