Job summary

Owen J. Roberts School District is seeking Part-Time Security Officers to support district facilities on an as-needed basis. The role covers traffic control, vehicle direction, and enforcing access policies across district sites.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid PA driver’s license with a clean record, and current PA clearances (Act 34/151/114) plus health form submission. Starting wage is $16/hour; 10 months; flexible schedule. EOE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid PA driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions with common-sense problem solving.
• Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
• Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.
• Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic entering and leaving school facilities.
• Direct parking of vehicles.
• Stop vehicles in violation of traffic control directions.
• Search vehicle on school property when legally required.
• Refuse admission to school activities in policy-violation cases.
• Respond to disturbances on school property.
• Request assistance from School District Police and local/state law enforcement.
