Job summary

The Visiting Nurse Health Services is seeking a part-time Public Health School Nurse in Omaha, Nebraska to support student health three days per week. You will implement the school health program under VNHS guidelines and collaborate with school administrators and the School Health Program Manager to ensure high-quality care and compliance with state policies.

Required: active RN license (Nebraska or compact state), BLS certification, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation;

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1 year of nursing experience required; community health knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out School Health Program following VNHS guidelines and state health policies.
• Implement health services in assigned schools in collaboration with administrators and the School Health Program Manager.
