Job summary

Visiting Nurse Association of Omaha is seeking a detail-oriented registered nurse for a part-time Public Health School Nurse role. The position focuses on school-based health services, three days per week, in Omaha.

You will implement VNHS guidelines, support students, and coordinate with school staff. The ideal candidate holds a Nebraska license (or compact state), BSN preferred, BLS certified, and at least one year of nursing experience, with reliable transportation and a valid driver's

• Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska or compact state.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing, BSN degree preferred.
• Currently certified in Basic Life Support.
• 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of community health nursing preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance coverage.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the School Health Program following VNHS guidelines and state policies.
• Implement the school health program in assigned schools in collaboration with the school administrator.
• Work under the Program Manager of the School Health Program of VNHS.

Public Health School Nurse – Part-time
