Candor Consulting & Diagnostics in Texas is seeking a part-time school-based Physical Therapist (1099 Independent Contractor) to help students access classrooms and participate in routines. Starting pay is $60.00 per hour with compensation for all time worked.

You will conduct PT evaluations, develop student-specific interventions with the IEP team, supervise PTAs when needed, and document progress for ongoing planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Active Physical Therapist license issued by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Understand each student’s needs. Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations using standardized tools and individualized assessments to identify mobility and educational access needs.
• Make findings meaningful. Share evaluation results with parents, educators, and district personnel with clear recommendations to support participation and independence.
• Connect therapy to educational goals. Collaborate with the IEP team to develop evidence-based interventions addressing each student’s needs within the educational environment.
• Provide individualized services. Deliver direct physical therapy or supervise PTAs in line with students’ IEP goals.
• Use data to guide services. Collect, analyze, and document progress and maintain accurate records for IEP reviews and planning.
• Advocate and collaborate. Participate in ARD meetings, conferences, and team discussions to support students’ needs and programs.
