Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics in Texas is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) as a 1099 independent contractor. Starting at $50.00 per hour, this role focuses on serving students in school settings, applying your clinical expertise to build independence and participation.

You will collaborate with families, educators, and related service providers to coordinate services and support student progress while maintaining professional judgment and commitment to student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the TBOTE (Texas).
• Current CPR certification.
• Bilingual skills are preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Understand each student's needs and conduct OT assessments to identify strengths and barriers.
• Explain evaluation results to parents, educators, and district personnel with practical recommendations.
• Collaborate with the IEP team to develop interventions that support functional skills and classroom participation.
• Provide direct OT services or supervise appropriately licensed COTAs in implementing plans.
• Maintain accurate records, collect student data, and adjust interventions based on findings.
• Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to coordinate support.
