Job summary

BridgePrep Academy Broward is seeking a licensed School Physical Therapist (PT) to join the ESE team on a part-time basis. You will evaluate and treat students with gross motor impairments, plan therapy, monitor progress toward IEP goals, and ensure services align with state guidelines in an educational setting.

You'll collaborate with ESE teachers, general education staff, and families to implement classroom adaptations and safety strategies, maintaining documentation and compliance with HB 531

Qualifications

• Licensed Florida Physical Therapist (PT) with a degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience in school-based or pediatric therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Therapy & Services: Deliver direct physical therapy services to qualified ESE students in accordance with their IEP mandates and state guidelines.
• Evaluations & Assessments: Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations to determine student eligibility and functional needs within the educational environment.
• IEP Management & Compliance: Draft measurable gross-motor IEP goals, track progress, maintain treatment logs, and participate in IEP team meetings.
• Consultation & Collaboration: Partner with ESE teachers, general education staff, and school leadership to recommend classroom modifications, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies.
• Parent Communication: Engage with families regarding student progress, home strategy recommendations, and therapy updates.
