Care Options for Kids is seeking a School-Based Physical Therapist to support students in pre-kindergarten through 6th grade. The role focuses on coordinating physical therapy to enhance fine motor and sensory integration skills within a school setting.

The position is part-time (7:30am-3:30pm, 2 days/week) through January 2027, offering competitive hourly pay and benefits like medical/dental/vision, retirement and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Active State License to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordinated physical therapy to school-aged children.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate students to develop fine motor and/or sensory integration skills.
• Evaluate students' physical performance and occupational roles to tailor interventions.
• Provide interventions based on student deficits and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

School-Based Physical Therapist

• $60/hour
• Part-Time - 7:30am-3:30pm, 2 days/week
• Pre-Kindergarten to 6th Grade
• Through January 2027

Position Summary:

The position of School-Based Physical Therapist provides coordinated physical therapy to school-aged children. They plan, implement, and evaluate students to provide appropriate fine motor and/or sensory integration skills. They evaluate occupational roles and physical performance of students with physical and/or cognitive impairments. They provide interventions based on student deficits and they collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Education/License/Certification:
