Care Options for Kids is seeking a School-Based Physical Therapist to provide coordinated therapy to school-aged children in Morristown, NJ. The role includes planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions to develop fine motor and sensory integration skills while collaborating with teachers, nurses, and other clinicians.

This part-time position requires a Master’s or PhD in Physical Therapy with an active New Jersey license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current active New Jersey state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Pediatric focus and/or school-based experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate physical therapy to school-aged children.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support student needs.
• Provide interventions based on student deficits.

School-Based Physical Therapist
Part-Time

• $55-$60/hour

Position Summary: The position of School-Based Physical Therapist provides coordinated physical therapy to school-aged children. They plan, implement, and evaluate students to provide appropriate fine motor and/or sensory integration skills. They evaluate occupational roles and physical performance of students with physical and/or cognitive impairments. They provide interventions based on student deficits and they collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Education/License/Certification:

• Masters, or PhD in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution of higher education
• Current Active State License to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey.

Experience/Requirements:

• Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information.
• Knowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
• Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
• Responsive to requests.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.
