Job summary

Diagnostic Assessment Services, Inc. is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to support school-based occupational therapy in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

The role focuses on promoting academic achievement and social participation for students with motor and/or cognitive deficits within all school routines. The OTA will collaborate with educators, parents, and the supervising OT to assess needs, plan interventions, and document progress for IEP goals, while maintaining professional

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited college/university.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing by Texas State Board of OT Examiners.
• One year of experience as an OTA; school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide interventions in collaboration with OT, student, family, and school staff.
• Provide individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals.
• Evaluate progress and prepare progress reports with OT.
• Collaborate in ARD to assist with assessment data and placement.
• Counsel and involve parents in remedial processes.
• Coordinate with teachers to implement remediation plans.
• Deliver professional development to school staff.
• Maintain records and reports per policies.
