Job summary

Howell Public Schools is seeking a Food Service Coordinator to support the student nutrition program. You will assist the Food Service Supervisor in daily operations, coordinate orders, and help ensure meals meet district standards.

The role requires interaction with staff, students, and families, with duties including training assistance, menu input, and participation in staff meetings. This is a 25-hour/week, 10-month position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and be able to pass a basic math skills test.
• 3-5 years experience in food service preferred.
• ServSafe certified or able to obtain ServSafe certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Inputs food orders for all kitchens in the district and maintains a monthly order calendar.
• Coordinate food orders around Holidays and off day deliveries.
• Determine substitutions when items are out of stock and notify kitchen managers.

Education

High school diploma (or equivalent)

3-5 years experience in food service
