Job summary

Howell Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Food Service Coordinator to support the student nutrition program. You will assist the Food Service Supervisor in managing orders, substitutions, and daily kitchen operations, ensuring timely meals for staff and students.

The role calls for 3–5 years of food service experience, ServSafe certification, and strong customer service with attention to detail. Work hours are school days, with a 25-hour week commitment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• 3–5 years of experience in food service preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and work with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Inputs food orders for all kitchens in the district, maintaining a monthly order calendar.
• Coordinates food orders around holidays and off-day deliveries with the supervisor.
• Determines substitutions when items are unavailable and informs kitchen managers.
• Assists in training new staff district-wide and supports meal service operations.
