Job summary

Wallace Middle School in Bristol, Virginia is seeking a part-time School Nutrition Assistant to support daily cafeteria operations for about five hours per day. Immediate starting date with salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The role requires lifting abilities and a willingness to obtain Child Nutrition certification. You will assist in food production, sanitation, serving students, and using the POS Terminal as needed, while adhering to district guidelines and safety

Qualifications

• Assists the Child Nutrition Specialist in all areas of food production, preparation, sanitation, serving, and cleaning in the school cafeteria facility and all other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds and lift and reach above head level.
• Willing to become certified in Child Nutrition and to learn to operate the POS Terminal.

Responsibilities

• Support daily cafeteria operations, food preparation, serving students, and maintaining sanitation.
• Assist with cleaning duties and equipment as assigned.
• Learn and use the POS Terminal for transactions as part of daily duties.
