Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an ADN required; BSN preferred or required with 5 years of hire date.
• 1-2 years of experience in health field relating to school age children and/or school nursing.
• BLS and computer skills required.
• Area specific education may be obtained upon hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provides triage, treatment or first aid for students who are ill or injured and enhances health education.
• Interprets, implements and documents quality measures per Indiana State Board of Health standards and remains up to date with policy changes and standards of care.
• Possesses critical thinking, positive attitude, the ability to multitask, and appropriately delegate.
• Streamlines processes looking at the student experience.
• Creates Individualized Healthcare Plans when student health warrants.
