Job summary

Hendricks Regional Health is seeking a School Nurse RN for Avon High School. This position supports students’ health needs and promotes a safe, healthy learning environment on a part-time basis, with potential full-time hours during the school year.

The ideal candidate holds an ASN or higher in nursing, Indiana RN license, BLS, and experience with school-age children. You will triage, administer first aid, manage medications, and collaborate with school staff and families to remove

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate in Nursing Degree required.
• BSN preferred or required with 5 years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provides triage, treatment or first aid for students who are ill or injured.
• Interprets, implements and documents quality measures per standards and policy changes.
• Maintains confidentiality and privacy of student health information.
• Delivers medication administration with proper identification and documentation.
• Creates and manages Individualized Healthcare Plans when required.
• Supports the educational process by removing health-related barriers to learning.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

BSN (preferred)

BLS certification
