Job summary

Indianapolis Metropolitan High School is seeking a part-time School Nurse to support student health, wellness, and readiness to learn. The nurse will provide direct care, health assessments, care coordination, health education, and emergency response within a HIPAA/FERPA-compliant framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current Indiana RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Support students in health-related needs to reduce barriers to attendance and success.
• Provide direct nursing care, health assessments, and care coordination.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policy.
• Respond to health emergencies and illness during the school day and activities.
• Maintain confidential student health records in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA.
