Job summary

Prairie School Inc in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time School Nurse to help ensure our students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. You will work with our Lead Nurse to provide compassionate care and confidently manage the Health Office when the Lead Nurse is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license.
• Experience in pediatrics, school health, emergency care, family practice, or related setting preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and care for student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
• Administer medications and support students with chronic health needs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
• Communicate with families and coordinate follow-up care when appropriate.
• Support student medications, health plans, and supplies for field trips and activities.
• Collaborate with Lead Nurse, faculty, staff, and student support teams.
• Step into the Lead Nurse role when needed, using clinical judgment.
