Job summary

Prairie School Inc in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time School Nurse to help ensure our students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. You will work with our Lead Nurse to provide compassionate care and confidently manage the Health Office when the Lead Nurse is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license.

• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
• Communicate with families and coordinate follow-up care when appropriate.
• Support student medications, health plans, and supplies for field trips and activities.
• Collaborate with Lead Nurse, faculty, staff, and student support teams.
• Step into the Lead Nurse role when needed, using clinical judgment.

Job description

As a Part-Time School Nurse at The Prairie School, you will help ensure our students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. Working alongside our Lead Nurse, you will provide compassionate care to students and have the experience and confidence to independently manage the Health Office when the Lead Nurse is unavailable.

• Step fully into the Lead Nurse role when needed, using sound clinical judgment to independently manage student health needs and the Health Office.

Experience We Value

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Nursing experience in pediatrics, school health, emergency care, family practice, or a related setting is preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently.
