Job summary

POLYTECH School District seeks a Substitute Child Nutrition General Worker to support its high school food service team. The role involves assisting in food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining kitchen safety and cleanliness.

The position is part-time (up to 5 hours per day when school is in session) and reports to the Child Nutrition Manager. Requires a high school diploma or GED and ability to lift 35 lbs. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of baked and cooked food.
• Inspect food items for quality and safety.
• Prepare and serve food per menu and recipes.
• Monitor kitchen and cafeteria for safety and sanitation.
• Merchandise food for accessibility and appeal.
• Restock disposables and report inventory data.
• Participate in required trainings.
• Follow district and building safety regulations.
