Job summary

Kent School District is seeking substitutes (non-teaching) for Nutrition Services. These part-time, on-call positions support our central production kitchen or school kitchens and help prepare and serve meals to students.

Substitutes must have a high school diploma or GED, be able to handle cash and records, work well with students and staff, and maintain strong customer service. Health-card requirements and a current Food Handler's Permit are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and handle cash receipts.
• Ability to work with a variety of students and other employees.
• Ability to work in a team setting and build good working relationships.
• Strong customer service, communication skills, and willingness to work with students and other employees.
• Flexible, dependable transportation, and willingness to work wherever needed.
• Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
• Requires current Food Handler's Permit; healthcard testing online at www.foodworkercard.wa.gov.
