Kamehameha Schools Maui is seeking a part-time Cook to join our Food Services team. The role offers a regular, part-time schedule with a focus on nutritious meals to support student success, and includes comprehensive benefits.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends and holidays generally off, except for special events. This entry-level role involves dishwashing, setup, and basic prep, with opportunities to learn about local food systems and ingredients sourcing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to obtain National Food Safety and Sanitation Certification within two weeks.
• Willingness to drive or learn to operate a large food service transport vehicle.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Capable of working well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains cleanliness of dish room and equipment.
• Maintains temperatures of food and equipment per health standards.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen appliances and prep areas.
• Assist Cooks with food preparation and inventory control.
• Set up and service hot food stations and milk dispensers.
• Transport and unload supplies as needed.
