Job Summary Details:

The School Custodian performs general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K-12 school, college, or university campus environment.

Shift and Location:

Shift: Monday - Friday (Part-Time)

Hours: 4pm - 8pm

Location: Wonder Lake, IL

Pay:

$15.29 Hour

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior customer service experience
• One (1) year of prior similar work experience

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors
• Check and empty trash receptacles regularly
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment to prevent damage
• Notify management about repairs or building system issues
• Maintain effective communication with clients and team members
• Handle recycling and waste management properly
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls
• Polish hard surfaces like woodwork and stainless steel
• Clean food area tables, chairs, and equipment
• Move furniture and equipment for cleaning purposes
• Clean interior glass, windows, mirrors
• Perform seasonal tasks like snow removal or yard work
• Maintain restroom cleanliness
• Adhere to safety, security, and compliance standards
