Job summary

Syracuse City Corporation in Syracuse, Utah is seeking a Crossing Guard Sub to assist with safe school crossings under the Police Department. This part-time, non-exempt position reports to the Crossing Guard Supervisor and pays hourly.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate an aptitude or ability for duties described.
• Sufficient experience to demonstrate knowledge of practices and procedures.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform crossing duties to ensure safe crossing of school children and the public.
• Observe traffic and determine best timing for road crossings.
• Escort children and pedestrians to crossings and monitor behavior.
• Complete reports related to work time and activities as assigned by the Police Sergeant.
