Job summary

Uintah School District seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support students with diverse needs in a 20-hour weekly role. The COTA will implement therapy plans under supervision, participate in team meetings, and help students develop daily living and educational skills within the school setting.

The position requires Utah licensure, strong communication with students and staff, and the ability to work across multiple school buildings. Experience with special needs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Utah COTA license required.
• Experience with students with special needs preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate with students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence in activities of daily living for students.
• Observe and implement positioning techniques to maximize participation.
• Collaborate with classroom staff and therapists.
• Use task analysis to support feeding and daily living skills.
• Assist in data collection to monitor student goals.
• Contribute to planning new goals with the team.
