You will assist with food prep, service, sanitation, and customer service, reporting to the Executive Director of Nutrition Services. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math ability, and preferably food service experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to apply basic arithmetic calculations using money, weight, volume, and distance.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Safety-conscious with food handling.
• Strong customer service mindset.
• Excellent attendance and work record expected.
• Relates well with students, staff, and parents from diverse backgrounds.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, service, and storage of food.
• Support service excellence initiatives through proactive service efforts.
• Follow approved cafeteria menu preparation and service protocols.
• Train in all kitchen stations to cross-cover as needed.
• Promote customer service by providing appealing food and friendly service.
• Monitor portion control, pricing, and safe storage of supplies and food.
• Complete required reports and work with a diverse student population.
• Serve as a positive role model and recognize reimbursable meals.
• Follow HACCP procedures and maintain food safety and sanitation.
• Operate food service equipment safely and aid in dishwashing tasks.
• Complete required certifications (Food Handler) before training.
