The Southwest-Licking Local School District is seeking a Cook to join the Food Service Team at Watkins Intermediate School. This four-hour position runs from 9:45 am to 1:45 pm, focusing on preparing and serving nutritious meals for students in a safe, sanitary kitchen.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, demonstrate basic math skills, and show reliability and flexibility. Knowledge of food safety, ability to follow recipes and USDA guidelines, and the capacity to lift up to 25

Qualifications

• Ability to perform accurate math calculations.

• Maintains high ethical standards and integrity; responsible for conduct.
• No criminal violations prohibiting public school employment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and operate kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks food; maintains a sanitary kitchen.
• Assists with deliveries and verifies quantities.
• Follows standardized recipes and USDA guidelines.
• Records meal counts and handles cash/ POS as needed.
• Maintains health and safety practices and prepares for inspections.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
