Job summary

Kings Valley Charter School is seeking a School Cafeteria Support person to assist with our daily lunch program supervision. This role helps create a safe, welcoming, and orderly lunch environment for students while supporting the kitchen team with daily tasks.

The ideal candidate enjoys working around students, is willing to jump in wherever needed, and can cooperate as part of a school kitchen team. This part-time position runs Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with occasional

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.
• Reliable and punctual attendance.
• Ability to work cooperatively with students and staff.
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently when needed.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor students during the lunch period to help maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment.
• Assist with cafeteria and kitchen tasks as directed by kitchen staff or school administration.
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and other kitchen equipment.
• Help with basic food service and cafeteria preparation as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafeteria and kitchen areas.
• Assist kitchen staff with daily cleanup and other routine duties.
• Serve as a substitute/fill-in for other kitchen staff when they are absent.
• Follow all school, food safety, sanitation, and health procedures.
• Interact with students and staff in a friendly, professional, and appropriate manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
