Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a part-time Food Service Helper for Arcola Elementary School in Silver Spring, MD. You will assist with meal production and serving, operate kitchen equipment, and help maintain sanitation under supervision.

The position is part-time (20 hours bi-weekly) with on-site duties. Experience with food prep and HACCP is preferred; ninth-grade completion is required, high school diploma preferred, and a valid Class C license may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of ninth grade; high school diploma preferred.
• Experience with food preparation and safety procedures.
• Valid Class C noncommercial driver’s license; sanitation certification required or to be obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in production and serving of meals; operate basic kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in accordance with HACCP.
• Support inventory and meal item gathering for daily service.
