Job summary

Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring hires a Cafeteria Worker I for 3 hours per day, 10 months per year, assisting in food production, serving meals and cleaning kitchen facilities. Under supervision, you will learn basic food service operations from managers and nutrition staff.

Completion of ninth grade is required; High School diploma preferred. Sanitation certification or on‑the‑job training will be provided, along with a valid Class C license and HACCP compliance support.

Qualifications

• Completion of the ninth grade required.
• High School or GED diploma preferred.
• Experience with food preparation techniques and safety procedures.
• Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
• Certificate License: Valid Class C noncommercial driver's license.
• Sanitation certification required or obtain this certification during the first six months of employment.

Responsibilities
