Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Worker I for the Lathrop E. Smith Center, working 3:30 PM–6:30 PM, Monday through Thursday during student programs. On non-program days, additional 3-hour shifts for breakfast or lunch support may be required, within a 10-month cycle.

Under supervision, you will assist with food production, serving, and sanitation, with training provided. The role requires physical stamina to handle 40–60 lb items and working in varied

Qualifications

• Completion of the ninth grade required; HS diploma preferred.
• Experience with food preparation techniques and safety procedures.
• Valid Class C noncommercial driver's license; sanitation certification required or obtain this certification during the first six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals during the specified shift.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and maintain sanitation in kitchen areas.
• Support schools with breakfast or lunch as needed.
