Job summary

The Arc Montgomery County in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Part Time Childcare Aide to support daily classroom routines, snack and lunch distribution, and setup for activities. Requirements include being at least 16 years old, and a pre-employment medical exam with TB test; some experience with children and disability experience are a plus.

The role involves lifting up to 25 pounds and assisting staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Lived experience as a person with a developmental or intellectual disability a plus.
• Some previous experience with children a plus.
• Must have pre-employment medical exam and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute the snacks daily to each classroom.
• Distribute the lunches to each classroom.
• Help to set up the classroom for the daily activities.
• Assist in food preparation, serving and clean-up.
• Assist with the program wherever else necessary as indicated by the Childcare Staff, Administration or Nursing staff.
