Job summary

Liberty School District is seeking a part-time Bus Driver for the 2026-27 school year, with 180 days and 3–5 hours per day on morning/afternoon routes. Training will be provided Summer 2026. Requires CDL Class B with endorsements or willingness to obtain, and a valid WA license with 5 years of driving experience.

Starting immediately, compensation ranges from $23.26 to $31.26 per hour. Benefits are offered to eligible employees.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid Washington state driver’s license with 5 years of driving experience.
CDL Class B license with air brake, passenger and school bus endorsements or willingness to obtain.
Valid First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
Ability to be self-motivated and a self-starter.
Undergo pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

Operate a school bus safely on scheduled routes, field or activity trips as needed.
Transport students to and from school and activities, ensuring safety and compliance.
Maintain control over student passengers with effective communications and management techniques.
Complete daily log forms and other required paperwork accurately and promptly.
Participate in bus driver training courses as established by OSPI.
Instruct students in emergency bus evacuation procedures and conduct drills.
