N.E.W. B.O.C.E.S. in Gillette, Wyoming seeks a Part-Time Bus Driver-Non-CDL starting at 21.17 USD/hour to transport students on scheduled routes and field trips, with morning and afternoon shifts 7am-8am and 3pm-4pm, Monday through Friday, plus occasional full-day travel.

The role involves safety-focused driving, student supervision, and adherence to transportation policies, with required licenses, background checks, and drug screening. Training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must maintain a healthy driving record.

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid and prescription medication (under the direction of a health care professional) for emergencies and required care.
• Enforces rules to maintain safety during transport and reinforces student behavior guidelines.
• Assists loading/unloading, including familiarity with special education adaptive equipment such as wheelchair lifts.
• Drives school buses on scheduled routes and field trips, transporting passengers safely and on time.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with guidelines.
• Prepares incident and field trip reports to document activities and conditions.
