Job summary

New Boces in Gillette, WY is seeking a part-time Bus Driver-Non CDL Transportation Aide to support student transportation services and assist special education students during commutes. You will report to the Transportation Supervisor and help maintain safety and sanitation of the bus fleet.

The role emphasizes assisting with loading/unloading, implementing safety protocols, and participating in drills and daily operational tasks to ensure a safe, reliable transport experience for students.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Pre-employment drug screening.
• Criminal background check required.
• CDL not required.

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid and medications under supervision to ensure student safety.
• Assists with pre-trip safety inspection and bus sanitation.
• Supervises students during transport for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintains knowledge of routes and procedures to support substitute drivers.
• Conducts monthly emergency evacuation drills to meet guidelines.
• Reports incidents and observations to supervisor for appropriate follow-up.
• Monitors students with special needs for safe transport during trips.
