Job summary

First Student is hiring a part-time School Bus Driver for Brandon School District in Ortonville, MI. You will start mornings with pickup and transport students to activities, with potential for field trips and extra shifts. Training and CDL/CLP prep are provided. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available, plus benefits and a 5-hour minimum pay day.

No experience is required; we train you to be a safe, professional driver dedicated to student safety and reliable service across our 540 locations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Seeking a part-time schedule with summers off.
• Enjoy working with students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays.
