First Student is hiring part-time School Bus Drivers for Airport Community Schools in Carleton, Michigan. You will start mornings and transport students home in the afternoon, with opportunities for field trips and events.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with mornings/afternoons; summers off.
• DOT drug testing compliance required.
• Ability to interact safely and professionally with students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with belts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and monitor passenger behavior.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays.
