Job summary

First Student, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time School Bus Driver in Woolwich, ME. The role offers an hourly rate of $27.00 with a 6-hour minimum daily pay guarantee and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for a limited time.

Training is provided; DOT safety regulations and English proficiency are required to support safe student transportation. Responsibilities include safe student pickup/drop-off, supervising boarding, and communicating with school staff.

Qualifications

• Current CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement and School Bus (S) endorsement.
• Air Brake qualification with no Air Brake restriction.
• Minimum of one year of school bus driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays.
