Job summary

First Student, Inc. is hiring a Part Time School Bus Driver in Nampa, ID. You will start mornings with student pickup and transport them safely home in the afternoon, with potential hours for field trips and events.

No prior experience is required—we provide expert training to help you become a safe, professional driver. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, a 4-day work week (pay for 5 days at this location), and a flexible, part-time schedule

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with summers off.
• DOT drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
