Job summary

Old Sturbridge Academy Charter Public School is seeking an experienced BCBA to join as a part-time specialist. This 2-3 day per week role supports students with emotional, behavioral, and autism needs in a high-expectation school setting.

The ideal candidate holds BCBA certification and MA licensure (or eligibility), with school-based experience in FBAs and BIPs, strong collaboration skills, and a commitment to data-driven decision making and family partnership.

Qualifications

• BCBA certification in good standing.
• Massachusetts licensure as a BCBA or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience conducting FBAs and developing and implementing BIPs in school settings.
• Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder and emotional/behavioral needs.
• Strong consultation and coaching skills and ability to build capacity of staff.
• Experience collaborating with special education teams, general education teachers, and paraprofessionals.
• Comfort with data collection, analysis, and using data to drive decisions.
• Strong communication with families, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) for students with emotional, behavioral, and autism spectrum needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with clear goals and data review.
• Provide direct support to students, modeling strategies and building self-regulation and positive behavior.
• Collaborate with special education teachers and related services to integrate behavior supports into IEPs.
• Monitor and analyze behavioral data, adjust plans based on progress and needs.
• Attend IEP meetings and present behavioral data and recommendations.
