Job summary

Brigham Young University is seeking a part-time Scholarly Publishing Assistant to support ScholarsArchive operations. You will manage projects, train student staff, and handle inquiries as the frontline for the Scholarly Publishing unit.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma with at least 1 year library or supervisory experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree with 1 year publishing/library/customer service/project management + 1 year supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete projects timely and efficiently.
• Willingness to learn new software applications.
• Ability to make independent and logical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects assigned by the Scholarly Publishing Manager (e.g., processing theses, supervising student projects, uploading journal issues).
• Assist with training and supervising Scholarly Publishing student employees.
• Serve as first point of contact for Scholarly Publishing email inquiries and edits to repository items.
