Good Samaritan Society in New Hope, MN seeks a Part-Time Scanning Tech / Associate HIM Tech to support the Health Information Management department. You will scan, index, and manage medical records, while handling admission/discharge tasks and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

The role includes often helping at the reception desk and maintaining data integrity. The position offers a flexible schedule with no weekends or holidays and a 24-hour weekly commitment at a 77-bed Long Term and Post-Acute care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in healthcare environment preferred.
• Medical terminology, anatomy and physiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scan and index documents into the EMR with accurate identifiers.
• Collect medical documents and ensure proper page identifiers.
• Contact hospitals for missing documentation as needed and perform audits for accuracy.
