Job summary

Sur La Table in-store Chef Instructor, Savory leads hands-on savory classes and shares culinary expertise to inspire customers and promote cookware sales. You will represent the brand with engaging instruction, uphold high standards, and support store initiatives through memorable experiences.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years kitchen ops experience; a culinary degree is preferred and Food Manager Certification is required.

Qualifications

1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
21 years of age or older.
A culinary arts degree is preferred; however, extensive culinary experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Valid Food Manager Certification.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational savory experiences.
Deliver savory cooking classes that reflect the brand’s passion and standards while following provided recipes and plans.
Communicate technical cooking concepts in a clear, encouraging manner.
Assist with setup and breakdown of classes and maintain kitchen readiness.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and store policies.
Drive class enrollment and revenue goals by delivering high-quality classes and gathering guest feedback.
