POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Associate Lead is primarily responsible for supporting management in the general operations of the store to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. Performs various sales and register transactions.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Service: Promotes customer service by greeting and assisting customers; responds to inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Operations: Handles cash, reports, price changes, merchandise handling, and opening/closing duties; reviews payroll documentation for accuracy.
- Sales Monitoring: Oversees associate sales activities and productivity; motivates and trains staff to achieve goals.
- Security & Awareness: Maintains awareness of customer activity to enhance service and security; stays current on policies regarding payments, exchanges, and security practices.
- Merchandise Knowledge: Keeps informed about current sales and promotions; displays merchandise according to standards.
- Inventory & Supplies: Supports receipt and dispatch of inventory and supplies per company policy.
- Supervision: Supervises sales associates, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation, and customer services; prepares weekly schedules.
- Sales Techniques: Demonstrates sales expectations, shares product knowledge, and assists customers in merchandise selection.
- Customer Relations: Builds customer loyalty through clienteling and wardrobing.
- Store Standards: Maintains standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties.
- Visual Merchandising: Participates in visual directives and merchandise replenishment.
- Team Development: Assists in developing store associates, interprets KPI reports, and provides coaching and feedback.
- Additional Duties: Performs other tasks as assigned, noting duties may vary by brand.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Preferably 2+ years retail or sales management experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to travel within the district
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of store operations
- Physical ability to stand, maneuver, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform related tasks
- Reliable attendance and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
