Position Objective
The Sales Lead supports Management in promoting a customer- and product-focused sales culture, emphasizing our values and guiding principles in all store operations, including delivering a great customer experience and maximizing profitability. Functional Responsibilities
Drive for Results
- Establishes and communicates clear expectations, holding the store team and themselves accountable for achieving brand, performance, and behavior standards.
- Performs and oversees operational activities such as opening/closing duties and merchandise flow processes.
- Supervises associates in sales, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation, and customer service. Uses weekly schedules to ensure proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines. Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions; presents and displays merchandise accordingly.
- Maintains standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed by Management.
- Develops a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to meet sales and productivity goals; meets personal sales goals.
- Trains and coaches staff on product knowledge both online and in-store.
- Assists with locate fulfillment and selling techniques.
Build High Performing Teams
- Motivates and inspires the store team, promoting a shared vision and modeling core values.
- Encourages an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Communicates effectively with team and Management to lead positive change.
- Seeks personal development opportunities and solicits feedback to enhance leadership skills.
Customer Experience
- Models and promotes the MAPS principles, offering a cohesive omni-channel experience.
- Utilizes sales techniques and product knowledge to meet customer needs; recommends merchandise and assists in locating products.
- Builds a customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
- Resolves customer concerns promptly.
- Ensures an efficient register experience, staying current on policies regarding payments, returns, and security.
- Maintains consistent client communication via customer books, rewards, and sign-ups.
Talent Development
- Supports and follows up on training programs and seminars.
- Assists in developing store associates; interprets KPI reports and provides coaching; offers feedback for performance reviews.
- Recognizes and rewards outstanding employee performance.
- Ensures adherence to employment policies.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to company technology.
- Knowledge of store operations and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Regular attendance and flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, are required.
Physical Requirements
- Constant walking/standing (67-100% of shift).
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of shift).
- Frequent climbing (34-66% of shift).
