Position Objective
The Sales Lead supports management in promoting a customer- and product-focused sales culture, emphasizing our values and guiding principles through excellent customer service and profitability. We love what we do and believe our team is the best place to work, learn, and grow!
Functional Responsibilities
- Drive for Results
- Establish and communicate clear expectations, holding the team accountable for brand, performance, and behavior standards.
- Oversee operational activities such as opening, closing, and merchandise flow.
- Supervise sales associates, manage schedules, and ensure proper floor coverage.
- Maintain standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties.
- Motivate the sales team to meet sales and productivity goals; achieve personal sales targets.
- Train and coach team members on product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Build High Performing Teams
- Motivate and inspire, promoting shared vision and core values.
- Encourage collaboration and effective communication for positive change.
- Seek personal development opportunities and feedback to enhance leadership skills.
- Customer Experience
- Model and promote the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) standards, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
- Utilize sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers and build loyalty.
- Handle customer concerns promptly and effectively.
- Ensure efficient register operations and adherence to payment, return, and security policies.
- Maintain ongoing customer communication and engagement strategies.
- Talent Development
- Support and implement training programs and seminars.
- Assist in developing store associates, analyze KPI reports, and provide coaching and feedback.
- Drive employee engagement through recognition and rewards.
- Ensure compliance with employment policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred
- Must be 18 or older
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Adaptability to technology and store operations
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Constant walking/standing (67-100% of shift)
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33%)
- Frequent climbing (34-66%)
