Job summary

The GIANT Company in Winchester, VA is hiring for a salad bar/store associate role. You will prepare items for the salad bar, stock and keep everything fresh, and ensure all food safety standards are followed from the start of each shift.

You must be authorized to work in the U.S., able to read and follow directions, and willing to complete a 60-day introductory period. The position emphasizes safety, attendance, and reliable performance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements and the physical base scores for this position.
• Must meet company performance standards including regular attendance.
• Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes for this job.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for salad bar - cut fruit, set up salad bar, and keep all items stocked and fresh.
• Execute all food safety requirements for the salad bar.
• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift and ensure equipment and supplies are ready.
• Receive, store, and stock items.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
