Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking team members for salad bar duties in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include preparing items for the salad bar, maintaining freshness, and upholding food safety standards.

Ideal applicants can read and communicate effectively, meet physical requirements, and complete a 60‑day probation. The role requires 4+ hour shifts and adherence to PPE and safety policies within our stores.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand to complete job duties and comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for salad bar — cut fruit, set up salad bar, and keep all items stocked and fresh.
• Execute all food safety requirements for the salad bar.
• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work, and comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Receive, store, and stock items.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools and equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
