Job summary

HandyTube is seeking a part time Safety Specialist to support training, administration, programs, and policies. The role collaborates with HandyTube associates and management to enhance safety culture on site and ensures compliance with OSHA standards.

The successful candidate will perform site training (PITs, Aerial Lift, Crane, etc.), maintain documentation, and assist in audits and incident investigations while reporting to the EHS manager.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED, Safety Certifications preferred. Exposure to learning management systems desired.
• 1-2 years experience
• Environmental, Health and Safety knowledge (OSHA)
• Strong written and verbal communication to conduct training, programs, and grow safety culture on site.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Positive attitude, good judgment, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Site Training including PITs, Aerial Lift, Crane, PMI Gun, Confined Space Entry, New Hire, S.I.P.'n on Safety, Respirator, additional topics as needed.
• Administration ensures filing, training and documentation is organized and kept current. Coordinate reoccurring training and safety program events to completion.
• Support the development and implementation of environmental, health and safety programs and policies.
• Participate in audits, Kaizen events, NMR team, Safety Committee, Incident Investigation, Risk Assessments and participate in EHS related meetings.
• Ensure workplace safety standards comply with state and federal regulations while maintaining the effectiveness of keeping everyone safe from danger.
• Respond to emergencies such as workplace accidents or injuries.
• Maintain positive relationship with Associates and partner with other departments.
